Repiano

I've been working on a little pet project. It's an extremely rough prototype, has no backend (all in local storage), has a notable amount of bugs, not feature complete, and has a very rough UI. It seems near impossible for someone who isn't me to be able to get much value out of it or see the point I'm working towards.

All that said, having something published that exists is better than not having something published, and having the motivation to make what's online less embarassing is probably a good one.

I've called it Repiano (REP-ee-AH-no), some Brits' misspelling of an old Italian music term for the opposite of 'solo' - e.g. the rest of the ensemble. It's a super-powered pro/con board/table that I hope will help people make decisions and weigh different reasons for doing something.

A link to the prototype is in the navigation and for the foreseeable future will be at /repiano and documentation will be worked on at /repiano/docs.

Hopefully, if all goes well, I'll make regular updates to this prototype, making it more and more likely to be useful for people who aren't me. As progress continues, I'll start sharing it a little wider, most likely as URL share links of configurations I've made for people.

Productivity Timer Artifact

I should mention I've been playing around with 'vibe coding' and the like. One of the tools I've made for myself is a little productivity timer. Just declaring what I'm working on and for how long, and then as I wrap up declaring what I'm working on next has been surprisingly helpful in my productivity, preventing myself from defaulting to taking breaks or getting distracted from messages.
